AUD/NZD falls below 1.0800

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/NZD started the week with a modest decline that pushed the price back below 1.0800. During the Asian session the Aussie weakened and the pair fell to 1.0772.

The area around 1.0770 capped the downside and then rebounded, but the AUD/NZD was unable to climb back above 1.0800 and finished the day trading around 1.0785, 20 pips below Friday’s closing price.

Despite falling on Monday, the AUD/NZD still holds near July highs that lie at 1.0835. It was the first daily decline for the Aussie against the Kiwi after rising in the previous five trading days.
