USD/CAD reverses and jumps above 1.0900
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The ">USD/CAD soared in the last hour and jumped from 2-week lows at 1.0859 to 1.0918, reaching the highest price since Thursday’s Asian session.
The US dollar rose against commodity currencies amid increasing tensions in Ukraine and hit fresh daily highs as stocks turned negative in Wall Street.
USD/CAD up despite Canadian employment report
The USD/CAD plummeted after the release of a correction in employment numbers from Canada, that surpassed analysts expectations. But the recent rally brought the price above the level it had before the release. Currently trades at 1.0912, up 0.10% for the day.
