UK: Latest coronavirus growth rate between -1% to -4%

The latest COVID-19 infection growth rate for the whole United Kingdom (UK) is between -1% and -4%,  the British Health Ministry reported on Friday, as reported by Reuters. The 'R estimate' for the UK currently stands between 0.8 and 1.

The UK government further noted that they are starting to see early indications that coronavirus R and growth values may be increasing.

Market reaction

These figures don't seem to be having a significant impact on market sentiment. As of writing, the UK's FTSE 100 Index was down 1.87% on a daily basis at 6,070.
