US stocks continuing to perform on optimism

FXStreet (Guatemala) - US stocks finished higher with the Standard and Poor’s 500 at 1,958.08 and up 1.10 points and the DJIA up 14.84 points at 16,921.46.

Stocks are performing on the promise from the FOMC to keep rates low as the US economy is on track in it’s continued recovery. The stimulus that the Fed are creating with the policy is encouraging for investors. Meanwhile, the US data today was also encouraging with Initial jobless claims beating expectations and the Philly fed manufacturing survey coming in way above consensus.
