Japan's Aso: Want to raise tax in October as planned

Japan's Finance Minister Taro Aso on Thursday said the government wants to raise the sales tax in October from 8% to 10% as planned. 

Aso was out on the wires earlier this week that the scheduled consumption tax hike and whether to dissolve the Lower House for a snap election should be considered separately.

 

PBOC sets yuan reference rate at 6.8994
