Sleepy EUR/CHF waits for triggers at 1.2188
FXStreet (Moscow) - EUR/CHF is sidelined close to the opening level of 1.2188 after a bullish run on Wednesday.
EUR/CHF misses 1.2200
EUR/CHF rebounded from the support area of 1.2160/65 and finished Wednesday in a green zone (1.2188). Anti-risk sentiments eased on evidence of Ukrainian crisis de-escalation and eased buying pressure on CHF. April CPI report might catch investors attention during early European hours as Swiss economy has been filtering on the verge of deflation for a long period of time. The year-on-year rate of inflation is expected to stay unchanged at 0.0% but any surprise to the downside will trigger speculations about possible SNB response and put CHF under pressure. In this context SNB’s Danthine’s speech scheduled for today may provide some clues.
