BoJ's Kuroda: Central bank ready to take additional measures if needed
Adding to his earlier comments during the post-meeting press conference, the BoJ Governor Haruhiko Kuroda was further noted saying that overseas downside risks are heightening, mainly due to US-China trade friction and European problems, and the central bank is ready to take additional measures if needed.
Additional quotes:
• Will closely monitor if downside risks also affect price growth.
• Doesn't think overseas risks are enough to alter the main view.
• US-China trade friction might be headed towards a resolution.
• Prolonged trade friction is negative for both sides.
