ECB's Weidmann: Time to exit expansionary monetary policy, ending QE is just the first step

   •  Normalization will be gradual, to take "a few years" so must avoid undue delay.
   •  Inflation projections are broadly in line with the central bank's aim.
   •  A major trade war could be "severely detrimental" to the global economy. 
   •  German economy flourishing and upswing likely to continue.
   •  German expansion unlikely to maintain pace seen in 2017.
   •  Uncertainty on the rise.
