NZD/USD uptick towards 0.8590’s

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is approaching the previous sessions highs towards the 0.8590’s after a descending phase in America that took the pair to lows on 0.8570/68.

NZD/USD is discounting the positive US data that had kept the tone offered thereafter for the bird overnight. The US Consumer Confidence posted to the upside for the US economy at 82.3 vs 78.6 expected lifting the greenback while, instead, New Home Sales (MoM) (Feb) disappointed at 0.440M vs 0.445M consensus and 0.455M previous.

NZD/USD Levels

The 20 DMA is 0.8471, the 50 DMA is 0.8354 and the 200 DMA is 0.8177. RSI (14) reads 68.46. Supports are ascending from 0.8389, 0.8435, 0.8489 and 0.8501. Spot is 0.8583 while resistances are the highs 0.8590 then 0.8607, 0.8641 and 0.8676.
