Reuters quoted three people familiar with the matter, citing that South Korea will consider measures to boost capital outflows if the Won continues to increase rapidly.

The people said while smoothing operations to curb the Won’s volatility will continue, the nation’s foreign exchange authorities may look into ways to spur investment abroad should the local currency consistently appreciate.

USD/KRW fell to a three-year low of 1,059.90 on Wednesday, having booked a 13% loss in 2017.
