German economy on a roll – ANZ

Analysts at ANZ explain that the good news kept flowing for Germany overnight with the March IFO business climate index pushing higher.

“Both the current situation and expectations improved. It was the highest reading for the index since July 2011 and mirrors what the higher PMI indicated last week namely, the German economy is performing very well and growth will pick-up in 2017. The March Dallas Fed index fell back to 16.9 in February. Whilst off its recent highs, the index remains elevated compared to recent years and its weakness may well reflect some of the drop in oil prices.”
