Australian labour demand stabilizing - ANZ survey

FXstreet.com (Bali) - ANZ's job ads survey saw a decrease of 0.7% in Dec, however, there seems to be some tentative signs of stabilization across some states, ANZ suggests.

According to ANZ's head of Australian economics Justin Fabo: "Overall, labour demand appears to be stabilising or even improving modestly."

"A number of different measures of job ads [and] vacancies have been broadly flat since mid-2013. This is consistent with the unemployment rate remaining relatively stable at around 5.75 per cent in the near term, a level it has been at since mid-2013", Fabo added.

Mr Fabo said "considerable uncertainty surrounding the labour market outlook" remains.
