Higher USD a headwind to US exports – FOMC’s R.Kaplan

Dallas Fed Robert Kaplan (2017 voter, neutral) suggested that a strong dollar remains a headwind to US exports, adding that it could create more strains on the Chinese transition while it stays a factor in the rate hike path.

Kaplan also urged patience on the potential fiscal policies, staying aware of their impact on the economy.
