Fed should hike rates slowly – FOMC’s E.George

Kansas City Governor Esther George (voter, hawkish) noted the Fed should hike rates in a gradual fashion in order not to overheat the economy, while raising rates sooner than later should help to curb volatility.

George also sees job growth and wage gains supporting spending, while the potential benefit of lower oil prices has diminished.
