A Fed rate hike on Trump presidency? Not in the near future...
As Trump edges closer to win the US presidential election, a key question to emerge soon will be, is the Fed going to be forced to pause any planned rate hike for the near future?
Scenarios under a Trump vs Clinton presidency
While a Clinton win would pave the way for a Fed rate hike as soon as December, a Trump win (almost a done deal) will most likely be seen as an unexpcted event that will cause Yellen and the rest of FOMC members to act extra cautious due to the unpredictability of where the economy might be headed under Trump's revolutionary and radical policies on trade, immigration, military strategy, etc.
