US: Import Price Index falls 0.6% in November

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - US Import Price Index decreased 0.3% in November compared with an equal fall in October (revised from -0.7%), according to the US Department of Labor official publication. This reading comes in line with expectations.

Import prices fell 1.5% for the year ended in November from -2.0% the previous month.

US Export Price Index increased by 0.1% in November following a 0.5% decrease in October and surpassing expectations of -0.5%.

US: Initial Jobless Claims rise to 368,000

Initial jobless claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 68,000 to a seasonally adjusted 368,000 in the week ended Dec 6, reaching the highest level in two months.
