EUR/USD fails to hold above 1.1100

After briefly rising above 1.1100, EUR/USD surrendered some gains and pulled back from 6-day highs with the greenback cutting losses versus European counterparts.

The risk-on mood seen during the European trade faded at the beginning of the New York session, with EUR/USD retreating from a peak of 1.1125 to a session low of 1.1079 before finding support. The pair was last trading around 1.1089, still up 0.29% and right below the 200-day SMA (1.1093).

EUR/USD levels to watch

As for technical levels, immediate resistances could be faced 1.1125 (Jul 12 high), 1.1185 (Jul 5 high) and then 1.1227 (100-day SMA). On the flip side, support levels are seen at 1.1014 (Jul 11 low), 1.1000 (psychological level), 1.0913 (post-Brexit low Jun.24) and then 1.0820 (Mar 10 low).
