US stocks post sharp gains

US stocks rose sharply on Tuesday, posting their largest gains in 3 months, as risk sentiment improved with technology, financials and healthcare sectors leading the way.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 212.71 points, or 1.22%, to 17,705.64. The S&P 500 SPX, +1.37% gained 27.97 points, or 1.37%, to 2,076. Both indices posted their strongest daily gains since March 11. Meanwhile, The Nasdaq rose 95.27 points, or 2%, to 4,861.06.
