Germany: Wholesale Price Index falls more than expected in October

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The German Wholesale Price Index dropped by 1% in October, compared with the 0.7% increase the previous month, Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland informed on Tuesday. Analysts expected less decline of 0.2%.

On an annual basis the Wholesale Price Index dropped 2.7% in October, down from -2.2% in September and below market consensus of -1.9%.

Germany: CPI drops by 0.2% in October

According to data released today by Destatis, German inflation fell 0.2% in October, after remaining flat the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On an annual basis German CPI grew 1.2% in October, down from the 1.4% rise in September, as expected.
