BoE Carney and US services PMI to watch out – Danske Bank

FXStreet (Delhi) – Research Team at Danske Bank, suggests that a very light calendar today and market focus is likely to remain on whether risk sentiment is taking another souring turn.

Key Quotes

“Bank of England (BoE) governor Mark Carney is due to speak today but he is unlikely to say anything new compared with his very dovish speech this week in which he made it quite clear that the BoE is not yet looking at a rate lift-off. Focus in GBP markets should now turn to the early February Inflation Report.

In the US the preliminary Markit services PMI will be out: consensus is for a small drop but note that the manufacturing counterpart rose last week.”
