Pause in stocks, Wall Street closes mixed

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US stocks market closed mixed on Tuesday as investors took a pause after two rising days and ahead of the Thursday key economic data. The Nasdaq was up for third day but the Dow and the S&P declined.

The Dow Jones declined 20.90 points or 0.13% to close the day at 15,618.22; the S&P 500 eased 4.96 pts or 0.28 to 1,762.97; and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 3.27 pts or 0.08% to finish the session at 3,939.86.
