Germany: CPI rose 1.5% YoY in October

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - German advanced inflation figures for the moth of October came in below expectations, with headline CPI contracting 0.2% inter-month and expanding at an annual pace of 1.2%. The Harmonised ICP followed suit, dropping 0.2% MoM and advancing 1.3% on a yearly basis.

EUR/JPY backs away from highs

The EUR/JPY retreated from weekly highs toward the 135.00 area at the beginning of the American session after data showed German CPI unexpectedly declined in October.
