EM Asia sees a sharp increase in inflows driven by Chinese equities – ANZ

FXStreet (Barcelona) - The Research Team at ANZ offers the Asia Pacific Fund flow summary for the week ending 8th July, 2015.

Key Quotes

“EM Asia registered a sharp increase in inflows to USD11,783m from USD4,715m. The increase was mainly driven by China equities. For this week, China equity funds registered an inflow of USD12,647m vs USD4,318m in the previous week.”

“We note that Chinese equity flows have been very volatile of late. A better way to interpret the data would be to look at the four week moving aggregate, which showed a net inflow of USD4,284m over the last four weeks.”

“Excluding China, equity markets in Emerging Asia registered outflows of USD1,264m vs an inflow of USD304m last week.”

“On the bond front, most Emerging Asian markets (except China and Thailand) saw modest outflows this week. Excluding Asia, other emerging bond markets continued to see outflows.“
