AUD/USD jumps to fresh daily highs

FXstreet.com (Cordoba) - The AUD/USD jumped back above 0.9000 at the beginning of the American session as the greenback came under pressure in the wake of disappointing US jobless claims.

AUD/USD extend gains after jobless claims

AUD/USD rose more than 40 pips within the last minutes and printed a fresh daily high of 0.9038 before easing slightly following the release of US Manufacturing PMI and Housing Price Index. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at the 0.9020 zone, where it records a 0.2% gain on the day.

AUD/USD technical levels


As for technical levels, AUD/USD could find immediate resistances at 0.9038 (daily high) and 0.9057 (post-FOMC minutes high). On the flip side, supports are seen at 0.8931 (daily low) and 0.8900 (psychological level).
