Didn’t mean to predict on Yen outlook – BOJ’s Kuroda

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Bank of Japan governor Kuroda on Tuesday said that he did not intend to predict the nominal Yen exchange rate last week when he indicated a low possibility of further depreciation in the Yen’s REER.

Kuroda said, “My remarks last week on yen's real, effective rate wasn't making any assessment on nominal fx levels or prediction on yen outlook.”

Kuroda also clarified himself by stating that he was never against the Yen weakening on Nominal basis.
