ELA ceiling for Greek banks raised by EUR 1.4 billion

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The European Central Bank (ECB) is said to have raised Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) for Greek banks by EUR 1.4 billion to EUR 76.9 billion. The Greek banks are currently left with EUR 3 billion liquidity.

Meanwhile, another set of data showed the M3 money supply in the Eurozone rose 4.6% year-on-year in March, beating the estimate of 4.3%. Private loans rose 0.1% year-on-year. Elsewhere, The Italian consumer confidence data fell to 108.2 in April from 110.9 in March. However, Business Confidence rose to 104.1, beating the estimate of 103.7.
