EUR/GBP drops to 1-week lows

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The euro fell further against the pound and reached the lowest price in a week. EUR/GBP bottomed at 0.7226, the weakest level since March 31 and then rebounded. It was trading at 0.7250, 50 pips below Tuesday’s closing price.

While EUR/USD reached fresh lows under 1.0800, GBP/USD remained above 1.4900, holding to daily gains. The euro also lost ground against commodity currencies and the yen.

EUR/GBP moving toward last week lows

Since the beginning of the week the pair lost more than a hundred pips. After being unable to break March highs slightly below 0.7400, reversed and dropped to test last week lows that lie at 0.7220. The euro has been able so far to move off the 0.7220 area but still remains under pressure.
