NZD/USD drifting higher

FXstreet.com (London) - NZD/USD is continuing to drift higher from yesterdays lows, 0.7860 testing intra day high 0.7940 and resistance.

Overnight, Net Migration rose by +2330 persons in June, the largest net monthly movement in four years. Research teams at TD Securities said the three-month average annualised pace just hit +23 000, the highest since mid-2009 and the long run (30yr) average is +6 000. “The negative fallout from the devastating Christchurch earthquake has been completely reversed, and is supportive for economic activity (housing and retail sectors in particular)”. The dollar has lost ground over night to most of the G10’s.

The pair has key resistance at 0.7967 and 50d ma. 0.7813 200d ma, 0.7947 50d ma. 0.8234 200d ma. RSI 9 58.59. Support 0.7730, 0.7794, 0.7820, 0.7840. Resistance 0.7940,0.7970, 0.7988, 0.8030.
