US Shares modestly higher in early trade
FXStreet (Mumbai) - US shares are trading higher today, adding to the previous session's strong rally. However, broader gains appear restricted due to fears of Ebola spreading into the US.
The DJIA is trading just 0.05% higher at 16,621.5 levels today, while the S&P 500 is trading 0.03% higher at 1951.40. Meanwhile, the VIX December futures have declined 0.24% to trade at 16.49 levels.
Among the DJIA index stocks, Chevron and Visa are down by 1.12% and 0.885 respectively. Meanwhile, AT&T and Exon Mobil have lost more than 0.5% each. On the other hand, the index is being well supported by stocks like Procter and Gamble and Pfizer, which are up 3.08% and 1.03% respectively.
DJIA Technical levels
The index has an immediate support of 16,654 levels, below which prices can fall to 16,542 levels. On the other hand, prices can rally to 16,880 levels if the immediate resistance of 16,800 is breached.
