US stocks closed at lows amid growth fears
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street closed at lows of the day as investors digested bad concerns about global economic growth and S&P cuts in recovery expectations.
The Dow Jones lost 272.52 points or 1.60% to finish at 16,719.39; the S&P 500 eased 29.72 pts or 1.51% to 1,935.10; while the Nasdaq Composite lost 69.60 pts or 1.56% to 4,385.20.
